David Perry

David Perry

A 2009 graduate of Auburn University, Mr. David J. Perry is the vice-president and part-owner of RS Miller Group. While attending Auburn University earning his engineering degree, Mr. Perry had the opportunity to participate in an ASCE engineering competition hosted by Vanderbilt University. He immediately fell in love with Nashville. Mr. Perry graduated in 2009, moved to Nashville, and has been living in central Tennessee ever since. He is happily married and has two crazy boys that take up much of his free time, which he is completely fine with.

Over his career, Mr. Perry has gained experience in geotechnical investigations, slope stability assessments, pavement section design, geotechnical forensic services, geophysical forensic services, seismic site class determinations, caisson and micro-pile design construction and inspection observations, karst remediation, foundation evaluations, and working knowledge in construction materials testing inspections. Mr. Perry has participated in, and managed personnel for projects ranging from Maryland to Utah over his career, gaining knowledge in both field and office aspects of his profession. This even mix of office and field time was one of the main reasons Mr. Perry decided to pursue geotechnical engineering as a career. He believes every engineer should personally experience as many aspects of their field as possible in order to be a true asset to their client.
